INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Take molasses in a heat-resistant bowl and make it liquid by rotating it in the microwave.
  2. Then add caramel extract in it and stir well.
  3. Take a large bowl and add erythritol sweetener to it.
  4. Now start the mixer at low speed. Pour the molasses with caramel extract into a thin stream in the bowl of erythritol.
  5. Mix till it gives the required brown color of the sugar.
  6. Fill a sealed glass jar with the prepared brown sugar replacement and use it when any recipe needs to use it.

TIPS:

  • Don’t ever use regular molasses. It has a high carb count compared to the blackstrap molasses that we have used in this recipe.
  • You have to add any sweetener (pure), such as monk fruit/stevia.
  • Plain erythritol is as sweet as 70% white sugar.
  • It would be cost-effective as compared to the commercial erythritol and stevia blend.

REASONS OF THE FAVOURITE RECIPE:

We love the recipe because it only has two ingredients & much cheaper than we buy from stores.
You can even alter it to have the desired level of darkness/lightness. The wonderful part is you can make and store the large batch & use it whenever you want.
