This Keto Hunan Shrimp is very tasty, delicious, & tender. It features shrimp, and tender vegetables with sweet & spicy sauce. It gets ready only in ten minutes. This shrimp is very healthy and beneficial as it is loaded with lots of proteins, and fiber, and it also has lots of vegetables & is low in calories. We can easily make this shrimp before time and reheat the dish when it is required. INGREDIENTS:

  • One pound shrimp
  • A tablespoon almond flour
  • One tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Two pieces garlic
  • One tablespoon ginger
  • Three cups broccoli
  • One large bell pepper
  • ½ onion small

HUNAN SAUCE:

  • ½ cup fish broth
  • 3 tablespoons tamari
  • One tbsp. fish sauce
  • One tbsp. white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons swerve brown
  • 2 tablespoons chili paste
  • ½ teaspoon xanthan gum

INGREDIENTS NOTES:

SHRIMP:

  • We can make this shrimp with the large ones to have more meat; you can also make it with small ones.

ALMOND FLOUR:

  • Almond flour is use to coat the shrimp before we fry them and it also helps to stick the sauce on the shrimp.

OIL:

  • Oil is use to saute the vegetables and shrimp. Use the oil whose smoke point should be high like peanut or sunflower oil.

GINGER & GARLIC:

  • Ginger & garlic is used to enhance the flavor & aroma of the dish.

VEGETABLES:

  • This Hunan shrimp is made with broccoli, red bell pepper, & onions.

FISH BROTH:

  • Fish broth is added to make this Hunan shrimp; we can also add the chicken or beef broth if fish broth is not available.

WHITE VINEGAR:

  • White vinegar is added to maintain the salty & sweet flavor of this dish.

SWERVE BROWN:

  • Sweeteners should be added to the Asian dishes to enhance the taste of dish.

XANTHAN GUM:

  • Xanthan gum is utilized to thicken the consistency of the sauce of Hunan shrimp.

CHILI PASTE:

  • Sambal oelek is use to make this dish; you can use other ones also or make the paste of the chili by yourself.

INSTRUCTION:

  1. We can take a bowl & add swerve brown, fish broth, white vinegar, tamari, fish sauce, xanthan gum, & chili sauce in it.
  2. Mix all the ingredients properly with the whisk.
  3. Take a small bowl & add the shrimp and add the almond flour on it.
  4. Toss the bowl to properly coat the shrimp with the almond flour.
  5. Place the non-stick pan on the stove and add the oil in it and heat the oil on medium flame.
  6. When the oil gets warm up add the shrimp in the oil & fry the shrimp from each side for total 2 minutes.
  7. Turn the side of the fish in between the time; when it is done remove the shrimp and put it in the corner.
  8. Include the sesame oil in the same pan and then add ginger & garlic in the pan.
  9. Sautee them for 1 to 2 minutes or until the nice fragrance will come.
  10. Include other vegetables in the pan and saute them for three minutes or till they get soft.
  11. Transfer the shrimp to the pan and mix it properly with other things.
  12. Include the Hunan sauce in the pan and cook the dish for additional 5 minutes.
  13. Put the pan on the shelf and serve the Keto Hunan shrimp.

TIPS:

  • If you don’t like spicy food then alter the chili paste with keto-friendly sweet chili sauce.
  • We can also alter the vegetables according to our liking.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

FRIDGE:

  • Transfer the Hunan shrimp in the air-tight box and keep them for five days.

FREEZER:

  • We wrap the fillets of fish in the plastic wrap then in aluminum foil and put in the sealed box and store for two months.

REHEAT:

  • Put some oil in the pan and warm up the shrimp in the skillet for 1-2 minutes from both sides.
