Ingredients:

For crust:
  • 1 and ½ cups of all-purpose flour (118 g)
  • 1/4 tbs salt
  • 8 tbsp cold unsalted butter(113 g)
  • 2 tbsp sugar(25 g)

  • Coarse sugar (optional)
  • ¼ cup ice-water(add more if needed)
For filling:
  • ¼ cup sugar (50 g)
  • 3-4 cup pear slices(peeled and ¼ inches thick slices)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour(15 g)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or orange juice
  • ½ tbs ground cinnamon
  • ¼ ground ginger
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp crystallized ginger (chopped)

Ingredients Notes:

  • Flour: Take the all-purpose flour which is plain so there will be no lumps in the dough. After that, the dough will be smooth and plain.
  • Ginger: The ginger is used for both the crust and the filling so we use chopped and crystal ginger. To make our recipe elegant and delicious.
  • Egg: Beat the one egg with the whisk and add a small amount of milk to make the texture runny and thick.

Instructions:

  5. Put the galette into the refrigerator for up to 2 hours and warm the oven to the temperature of about 450 F.
