Recipe: Keto Kielbasa Soup with Cauliflower


  • 1 lb (450g) kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 4 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced kielbasa sausage and cook until it’s browned and slightly crispy. Remove the sausage from the pot and set it aside.
  3. In the same pot, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
  4. Add the cauliflower florets to the pot and stir to combine with the onion and garlic.
  5. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pot. Allow the cauliflower to cook until it’s tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Use an immersion blender or regular blender to puree the cauliflower mixture until smooth and creamy.
  8. Return the pureed mixture to the pot and stir in the heavy cream, dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  9. Add the cooked kielbasa sausage back to the pot and heat the soup until it’s warmed through.
