KETO PALEO GLUTEN FREE POTSTICKERS

Keto Paleo Gluten Free Potstickers

These are made the healthy way with daikon radish instead of wrappers. KETO PALEO GLUTEN FREE POTSTICKERS are perfect for a low carb or keto diet!
These are made using thinly sliced daikon radish. It’s a type of Japanese radish that is white, thick and very long. At least in Canada, it’s usually sold in any grocery stores, but if you can’t find it, try going to an Asian grocery store. It’s a pretty popular vegetable to use in Asian dishes so they should have some.

INGREDIENTS

  • ▢4 leaves (4 leaves) cabbage
  • ▢2 cloves (2 cloves) garlic
  • ▢1 bulb (1 bulb) ginger (20g)
  • ▢½ bunch (0.5 bunch) Japanese garlic chives
  • ▢350 g (12.35 oz) ground pork
  • ▢1 (1 ) egg
  • ▢¼ tsp (¼ tsp) dashi powder
  • ▢½ tsp (½ tsp) salt
  • ▢½ tsp (½ tsp) black pepper
  • ▢1 tbsp (1 tbsp) coconut aminos
  • ▢1 tbsp (1 tbsp) blanched almond flour
  • ▢2 tbsp (2 tbsp) sesame oil
  • ▢¼ (0.25 ) daikon (300g)
  • ▢¼ cup (0.25 cup) water

Dipping Sauce

  • ▢1 tbsp (1 tbsp) coconut aminos
  • ▢1 tsp (1 tsp) vinegar
  • ▢½ tsp (½ tsp) chili oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Thinly mince the garlic cloves and cabbage. Grate the ginger. Thinly chop the garlic chives.
  2. Slice the daikon into 40-50 thin slices using a cabbage shredder. Slice them as thin as you can.
  3. They’ll break in half if too thick when you fold them.
  4. Take a bowl(large) and mix together the coconut aminos, almond flour, ginger, garlic chives, ground pork, egg, dashi, salt, pepper, garlic and minced cabbage. With your hands knead the meat mixture until all of the ingredients are smoothly mixed together.
  5. Over one slice of daikon, add about 1-2 teaspoons of meat mixture and fold in half. Do same until there is no more meat mixture.
  6. Inside a frying pan(non-stick), drizzle the sesame oil and line up the potstickers. You can squish them together (won’t stick together).
  7. For 2 minutes, fry on medium heat and pour the water over. Use a lid to cover and let steam for 4-5 minutes. Take off the lid and until the bottom turns golden brown, let the potstickers sizzle. Turn off heat.
  8. Take another bowl(small) and mix together the vinegar, coconut aminos and chili oil.
  9. Inside the dipping sauce, dip each potsticker to serve and eat hot!
