Ingredients
Cabbage grits
- 1 small head cabbage (about 3 cups)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup chopped cheddar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3-4 tablespoons green onion for garnish
Cajun Shrimp
- 1 pound prepared, shelled prawns
- 1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian spice
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter, split
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a medium-sized stock pan, boil the cauliflower and chicken broth over medium-high heat until soft.
- When the cabbage is delicate, eliminate the excess stock and add cream cheddar, cheddar, margarine, salt, and pepper, and squash until it looks like the surface of cornmeal.
- When you make shrimp, cover the grits to keep them warm.
Make Shrimp:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter, add garlic and raw, peeled shrimp to the pan, and sprinkle cajun spices on the shrimp. Mix well with the goal that it is equitably covered.
- Cook the shrimp for 3-4 minutes and when it becomes pink and soft, add butter and heavy cream and stir to make a creamy sauce.
- To combine your shrimp and grits, divide the cabbage pieces evenly into four bowls, sprinkled with shrimp, green onions, and cream sauce.
