Keto Chocolate Fondue

KETO CHOCOLATE FONDUE. To make a chocolate fondue at home, it’s surprisingly easy, and the result is decadent and rich.

This tasty fondue is made with three ingredients and ready in 15 minutes, one of my favorite desserts to make for my family.

About dipping tasty morsels of food into melted chocolate, there’s something incredibly pleasurable. At buffets, no wonder chocolate fountains are such a hit – they’re so much fun!

Depending on the chocolate brand you use, results will vary. Start with the measurements listed in the recipe card, then according to the results you get, adjust them.

Add a bit of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon at a time if the mixture is too thick. Add chocolate, one square (chopped) at a time if it’s too thin.

Without a fondue appliance can I make this recipe?

Yes! You can heat the heavy cream and on the stove, melt the chocolate.

It’s best to serve it on some type of hot plate (set on very low) to keep it warm once the mixture is ready, but to simply place it on a heatproof trivet, it’s also fine and serve it out of the saucepan.

How do I keep the fondue from hardening?

On a very low-heat fondue appliance/hot plate, it’s helpful to place it. If it starts to harden, you might also need to stir in an extra tablespoon of heavy cream.

Instead of chopped chocolate, can I use chocolate chips?

Yes, you can use chocolate chips. Remember that when baked in cookies, chocolate chips are made to retain their shape so they don’t melt as easily as chopped chocolate. But they should work just fine in this recipe if you’re patient.

  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz Lindt dark chocolate(at least 70% cacao), chopped (12 squares)
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract or brandy

  1. Into the fondue pot/into a small saucepan placed on the stovetop, pour the heavy cream. Over medium heat, bring it to a simmer.
  2. Lower the heat to medium-low when the heavy cream is bubbling lightly and gradually stir in the chopped chocolate, until it gets smooth, mixing with a hand whisk/a heat-resistant rubber spatula.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract when the chocolate is completely melted.
reduce the heat. Serve immediately, with your choice of dippers. If not using a fondue appliance, simply place the saucepan To the lowest possible, on a trivet and serve. Or to keep the fondue warm, use a hot plate on the lowest setting. Be careful – the hot plate, fondue pot, and/or saucepan will be hot.
