EQUIPMENT:

  • Food Processor or blender to make dough.
  • Oven for Baking.
  • Baking Tray.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups of Almond Flour.
  • 1/2 cup of low-carb Protein powder.
  • 2 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 tsp of Xanthum gum.
  • 1 tsp of Salt.
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup of grated and melted Mozzarella Cheese.
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted and melted butter.
  • 2 Tbsp of Sour Cream
  • 1 egg white

For Coating:

  • 1/4 Cup of melted and unsalted Butter.
  • 1/3 Cup of shredded Parmesan Cheese.

INGREDIENTS DIRECTIVES:

  • ALMOND FLOUR: we replace wheat flour with Almond flour because wheat flour has Gluten.
  • EGG WHITE: Dough balls need to be brushed with egg white to make them shine and have a finished look.
  • UNFLAVOURED PROTEIN POWDER: we use unflavoured protein powder to provide volume to our dough balls without adding carbs.
  • BUTTER AND PARMESAN CHEESE: After baking, brush the tiny bread balls with melted butter and then cover them with Parmesan cheese. You can add chopped garlic, onion powder, or parsley if you want a flavor.

INSTRUCTIONS:

PREPARATIONS:

  1. Lined the Baking tray with Parchment paper and set aside. Set the oven temperature at 350 F.

MIX DRY INGREDIENTS:

  1. Put Almond Flour, Xanthum gum, Protein powder, Salt, and Baking Powder into the mixer and mix it properly.

MIX WET INGREDIENTS:

  1. Add egg, butter, melted cheese, and sour cream and pulse to produce a smooth dough.

MAKE BALLS:

  1. Take some dough and make its ball.
  2. The size of the ball should be around 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the balls 1-2 inches apart on Parchment lined Baking tray.
  4. Brush each ball with Egg white to bring the final look.

BAKING:

  1. Bake the balls at 350 F for 6-8 minutes on a medium rack.
  2. Then transfer the tray to the upper rack and bake at high temperature for 90 seconds to get the desired golden brown finish.

FINAL STEP:

  1. When our bread balls are cool enough to handle then brush them with melted butter and cover them with grated Parmesan Cheese.

  2. Melt cheese in the oven for 60 seconds before mixing with wet ingredients.
