This Keto Bison Burger is very delicious & tasty. It is very easy to make these burgers and it is prepared very juicy & tender. It requires only 10 minutes to prepare this burger. Bison meat has a slight flavor than ground beef and is naturally soft, & juicy. It tastes like real hamburger meat and we can easily impress someone with this Keto Bison Burger. INGREDIENTS:

  • 21 ounces of ground bison
  • 1 diced shallot
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • One tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp. butter

INGREDIENT NOTES:

GROUND BISON:

  • I use lean ground meat 85/15 to make this recipe. We should try to have this from the butcher instead of from grocery stores.

SHALLOTS:

  • I use shallots to make these burger patties because they have a mild flavor as compared to onions.

SALT & PEPPER POWDER:

  • Pepper powder & salt is used to season the meat.

OLIVE OIL:

  • Olive oil is used to fry the bison patties; we can also use avocado oil or any neutral flavor keto-friendly oil as well.

PAPRIKA:

  • Paprika is used to give the patties a Smokey & sweet taste.

CHILI FLAKES:

  • I use chili flakes to make them a little spicy, if you don’t want to make it spicy skip the chili flakes.

BUTTER:

  • Butter is used to toast the keto-friendly burger buns.

BURGER FIX-INS:

  • We should use keto-friendly burger fix-in to prepare these burgers like cucumbers, onions, lettuce, cheese slices, keto-friendly mayonnaise, & BBQ sauce.

INSTRUCTION:

  1. We can grab a bowl and add the meat, shallots, olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper powder, & red pepper flakes.
  2. Then we can combine well by using the hand & form 4 patties from that mixture.
  3. After that add the butter to the skillet and melt the butter.
  4. Then put the patties in the skillet and fry them for 8 – 9 minutes from both sides till the internal temperature reaches 130 – 135 degrees F.
  5. Then toast the keto-friendly buns in the skillet and assemble the burgers with the keto-friendly fix-in of your choice.

TIPS:

  • You can easily grill these bison meat patties on the grill in warm months; they get perfectly juicy & tender on the grill. You can fry it on the grill for three to four minutes.
  • We can mix the patties mixture with so much care and don’t over mix the mixture because it can lead to tough & dry meat.
  • If we want to make it more tasty & flavorful then we can add some garlic or onion powder, red pepper flakes, or some Dijon mustard.
  • You could also have to carefully cook the bison patties, the best is to fry them till they reach 130 – 135 degrees F, you can also cook the patties at 165 degrees F but not more than that otherwise will lose all the juiciness from the patties.
