Therefore, you can use this recipe to enjoy the Worcestershire sauce while on the keto diet. As we have added sugar-free, the low-carb sweetener in the following recipe makes up to 1 g of Total Carbohydrates per serving. Worcestershire sauce can be used in the marination of different recipes, as a sauce in burgers or sandwiches. Sometimes its few drops can also be added to any drink to give the unique spicy flavour

INGREDIENTS:

  • ¼ teaspoon of mustard powder
  • Apple Cider Vinegar ½ Cup.
  • One teaspoon of Ginger Paste.
  • Water 3 Tbsp.
  • Three tablespoons of Soy Sauce, Gluten-free.
  • Salt To taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon of Onion powder.
  • 1.5 Tbsp. Of Brown Swerve.
  • One tsp. of Garlic, Minced.
  • A Pinch of Cinnamon.
  • Pepper to taste.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add all ingredients in a bowl one by one.
  2. Mix well till all ingredients combine to form the sauce.

TIPS:

  1. The main ingredient of this sauce is anchovies giving our sauce the authentic taste that most store-bought versions possess.
  2. While this recipe doesn’t use anchovies you can use the paste of anchovies if you like.
  3. Anchovies are small fish with a salty taste which gives an umami flavor to the sauce therefore, this recipe uses soy sauce instead of anchovie paste.
  4. You can use white vinegar and lemon juice in place of apple cider vinegar, it gives the same taste but using
  5. Apple Cider Vinegar gives a sweet taste to the sauce without adding any high-carb sugar.
  6. You can also use 1/8 of the teaspoon of the garlic powder instead of one fresh garlic clove but garlic powder can’t beat the taste and smell of the fresh garlic so it’s better to use fresh garlic always.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

You can use the Worcestershire sauce stored in any jar with the lid for about thirty days.
To keep it fresh, you should place it in a cool place. It is better to put a manufacturing date label on it to remind people how old the sauce is.

Stor-bought Worcestershire sauce has anchovies added to it, therefore it is not vegan but this issue can be solved with this homemade version in which anchovies are replaced by soy sauce.
