INGREDIENT NOTES:

BUTTER:

  • This will add the rich aroma & flavor to make the dish satisfying. You can use vegan butter or ghee as a replacement. We advise that you go for the unsalted butter, which will give you the margin to adjust the amount of salt

GARLIC:

  • Fresh garlic will give a stronger fragrance & taste. If you cannot get the fresh one, then powdered garlic will also work, but fresh is always preferred.

STEAK:

  • We are choosing the sirloin steak, which is lean & gets tender easily. You may opt for the NY strip, Ribeye(if you want more fat), or tenderloin tips to swap the sirloin. Prepare the steak into cubes of an inch.

CAJUN SEASONING:

  • This seasoning will be required to flavor your dish. You can buy it from a store by checking the label for low-carb, or you can even make your own at home by combining cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, oregano, thyme, powdered onion, garlic, & black pepper. The homemade version will wipe out your concern regarding any hidden carbs.

MUSHROOMS:

  • Chop the mushrooms into halves/quarters. They will taste amazing when cooked in the Cajun butter. You may go for any of the white button, cremini, or portobello mushrooms based on availability.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Dry the cubes of steak using a towel(paper/kitchen).
  2. Make a mixture by combining the Cajun seasoning, pepper, oil of olive, paprika, & salt.
  3. Now, include the steak cubes & coat all of them properly with that mixture.
  4. Next, place the skillet over a normal-high flame & include oil in it.
  5. Arrange the seasoned steak in the skillet over the oil(heated) in a single layer.
  6. Give them ~three mins then, then turn them all.
  7. Also, give the same time to the other side.
  8. It needs to be seared beautifully but still juicy.
  9. Repeat the steak cooking if some of them are left.
  10. Dish out the cooked steak.
  11. Include the butter in the same skillet while lowering the heat to normal.
  12. Include the mushrooms & coat them with butter well.
  13. Give them ~five minutes, with mixing in between.
  14. Next, include garlic & cook till you feel the aroma(thirty seconds).

TIPS:

  • To achieve the proper searing, you need a properly heated skillet & single layer arrangement of seasoned steak bites. Also, dry up the steaks well.
  • Carefully make all cubes of equal size(1-inch). This will brown them evenly & prevent overcooking quickly. If we do not keep the same size, the smaller pieces will burn while the larger ones will still be raw.
