You simply have to cook all the berries with the chia seeds along with the required amount of the sugar-free sweetener to attain a dense consistency. After that, you can spread it over the slices of bread or can use it with pancakes or any dessert. It is the most comfortable and the best way to enjoy a sweet touch in any keto lifestyle.

Mixed berries: For the mixed berry jam, we used a fresh mix of blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries as they have less sugar ability. These three berries are also known as keto-friendly berries. Use any one of these if you do not like any other. It is also OK to use either frozen or fresh ones to make the jam. It is ok to add your quantity of berries.

Lemon Juice: It provides a little tanginess to that jam and can also help in attaining a bright color. You can also use the orange juice if the lemon juice is not available.

Sweetener: It is the basic component any of sweet recipe. If you want any sugar-free sweeter you can simply use the monk fruit, stevia, erythritol, or any other you like. As the berries are also sweet, so you do not need any other sweetener in large quantities. If you like honey you can also add a tbsp of honey instead of the sweetener.

Chia seeds: These are tiny black almond-shaped seeds. You can also eat them without cooking. Simply soak the chia seeds in the water and then it will be ready after 20 minutes. You can also add them to any refreshing drink as they have a good amount of protein, calcium, fiber, and fat. After soaking they appear in a jelly-like and dense consistency, which also helps in weight loss. It also works in making jams thick.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (halved)
  • 2 tbsp. monk fruit sweetener
  • 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 2 tbsp. water

INSTRUCTIONS

Cooking the berries:

  1. Add the strawberries, raspberries, and then the blueberries to the saucepan.
  2. Add water, sweetener and the lemon juice in it, cover it, and then cook over medium heat till they become soft.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool.

Smashing the berries:

  1. In this step, add the soaked chia seeds to the berries.
  2. Use a masher or a fork and smash the berries properly like a paste.

Cooling:

  1. Let it cool at room temperature and then cover it in a jar and keep it in the fridge for 2 weeks.
  2. It will make approximately 1 1/2 cup.
