High-Protein Buffalo-Blue Cheese Cauliflower Fritters

High-Protein Buffalo-Blue Cheese Cauliflower Fritters are crispy & creamy. They contain cauliflower, eggs, flour, hot sauce, seasonings, blue cheese, and sour cream. These are simple items that we can find easily in stores or in the kitchen pantry. These creamy fritters have dairy items in them, so use vegan substitutes for this purpose. They require only 30 minutes, so they are good to prepare for a quick dinner or lunch. High-Protein Buffalo-Blue Cheese Cauliflower Fritters store nicely in the fridge, so they are not good for long-term storage, as their texture will be ruined. Serve these crispy fritters with sour cream, roasted broccoli, & mixed greens and cucumbers.

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp. hot sauce
  • 1 cup blue cheese crumbs
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ cup neutral oil
  • Sour cream

INGREDIENT NOTES:

CAULIFLOWER:

  • Include the fresh cauliflower florets to provide a mild flavor, soft texture, & fiber to these fritters. We have to chop them into small pieces so they cook evenly and mix properly with the other ingredients.

BLUE CHEESE:

  • Include the crumbled blue cheese to provide a creamy, tangy flavor that pairs well with the Buffalo hot sauce. We have to divide it properly between the batter and the topping to provide a rich flavor. Utilize plant-based blue cheese as a dairy-free substitute.

HOT SAUCE:

  • Include the hot sauce to provide the real Buffalo-style taste. We have to adjust the quantity according to our preferred spice level so the fritters have the right amount of heat.

EGGS:

  • Include the lightly beaten eggs to bind the cauliflower & flour together. Eggs help to maintain the shape of the fritters.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. First, chop the cauliflower, then add it to the vessel along with water.
  2. Now cover the vessel and microwave for around five to seven minutes till it gets soft.
  3. Then strain the water and let the cauliflower cool.
  4. When they get done, mash it lightly with a fork.
  5. Include the beaten eggs, hot sauce, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, baking powder, and paprika powder in the mixing vessel and mix to combine them.
  6. Then add the cauliflower and blue cheese crumbs to the mixture and save some cheese for serving.
  7. Add the oil to a big pan and warm it over a moderate flame.
  8. Leave the oil to get hot, then add the batter to it.
  9. Then add small portions of the cauliflower mixture to the pan, then flatten them with the spatula to form the fritters.
  10. Now fry them for 3-4 minutes on each side till they get crisp & golden.
  11. Add the cooked fritters to the paper towel-lined plate, then make all the fritters till the batter is finished.
  12. Put the hot fritters in the serving dish, sprinkle the saved cheese on them, and serve with sour cream.
