- Salt, 0.5 tsp.
- 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- A teaspoon of dried herbs(Italian)
INGREDIENT NOTES:
CHEESE:
- Mozzarella & parmesan cheese are the key items of any keto bread as they add high fats(healthy) to the bread. They also help in good binding of all items & give bread its classic flexibility. You may use the Monterey Jack, provolone, etc., to swap the mozzarella cheese & Asiago/grana padano in place of parmesan cheese.
SEASONINGS:
- Salt, herbs(Italian), pepper, & garlic will give the classic flavor to our cheesy bread. You may go for the powdered garlic to replace the fresh one, but fresh will be preferred.
SPAGHETTI SQUASH:
- We are using it as a keto base for our bread. It is necessary to remove all its moisture after cooking & shredding. You may go for zucchini/cauliflower rice as an alternative.
EGG:
- Egg helps to bind every item very well. You may use flax eggs to replace dairy eggs.

- After deseeding the spaghetti squash, arrange it on a sheet of baking paper with cut sides facing down.
- Shift the baking tray with spaghetti squash into the oven for approximately forty mins.
- Till then, they will be tender.
- Leave them to lower their temperature so that they will be able to handle.
- Then shred the squash in its skin with the help of a fork.
- Now, place the shredded spaghetti squash in a cheesecloth/kitchen towel.
- Press gently to remove most of the water & then transfer it to a bowl(big).
- Include the garlic, mozzarella, egg, parmesan, pepper, herbs, & salt in the bowl of spaghetti squash(moisture-removed).
- Give all the items a good mix.
- Now, transfer the mixture to the baking sheet(prepared).
- Press it to make the shape of a rectangle/oval with half an inch of uniform thickness.

- Now, leave the bread on your working shelf & cover it with a towel.
- Once it comes down to normal surrounding temperature, make its slices.
TIPS:
- If you leave the water in the spaghetti squash, your bread will turn out moist & soggy. The majority of the water must be eliminated to have a firm & crisp bread.
- You may use the flakes of red pepper, extra cheese, and fresh herbs(chopped) on the surface before baking.
- It is important to let the bread rest for approximately fifteen mins, then make slices. You will obtain the clean slices in this manner.

FAQs:
What may be the reason if my bread goes too soft/moist?
- The sole reason for having moist bread is the presence of water content in the spaghetti squash. Remove it’s all the water in a proper way to ensure a dry & crispy bread.
May I prepare the recipe earlier/in advance?
- Of course! You can prepare it a day earlier, either baked/unbaked(ready-to-bake).
Will the frozen version of spaghetti squash work?
- Yeah! you may work with the frozen spaghetti squash, but it contains more water content. You need to defrost & then remove its water more carefully.
