- Add the fresh broccoli to include the color, vitamins, and fiber content. It pairs nicely with the indulgent flavor of cheddar cheese. We have to slice it small so they get cook quickly and distributes equally on potatoes.
SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE:
- Add the sharp cheddar cheese to include the strong cheese flavor. We have to shred the cheese fresh, so it melts smoothly. We would also utilize the reduced-fat cheddar cheese if required.
OLIVE OIL:
- Add the olive oil to crisp the smashed potatoes so they get crisp & golden and also offer the rich flavor.
GARLIC POWDER:
- It will add a savory taste to the potatoes without adding intensity. We can also utilize fresh garlic, but it distributes easily.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add the scrubbed potatoes to the large pot, then add the cold water in it + salt.
- Now cook the potatoes for around 12 to 15 minutes till the potatoes get soft, but they will keep their shape.
- Add the broccoli to the pot at the end and boil it for two to three minutes till soft, then strain it.
- Now re-warm the oven to 220 °C and put the parchment on the tray.
