INGREDIENT NOTES:

CRANBERRIES:

  • We have to utilize fresh or frozen cranberries to make this puff pastry wreath. They will provide the sweet-tart flavor and create the vibrant filling, which will balance the creamy goat cheese. You would also utilize the frozen cranberries directly without thawing if required.

LIGHT BROWN SUGAR:

  • Add the light brown sugar to provide soft sweet & caramel flavor. It will balance the natural tangy taste of cranberries & enhance the taste of filling. You can also utilize the coconut sugar or maple syrup instead if required.

ORANGE JUICE:

  • Fresh orange juice is utilized to enhance the cranberry flavor and provides the bright citrus taste. It will also help to form the smooth fruit filling for the wreath.

PUFF PASTRY:

  • Use the thawed frozen puff pastry to make the flaky & golden crust. We have to keep the pastry chilled until shaping so it maintains the best texture and forms a perfect wreath.

GOAT CHEESE:

  • Utilize the soft goat cheese to make the creamy filling. It will provide good protein content & add a lightly tangy flavor which will complement the cranberry mixture.

PISTACHIOS:

  • Add the roasted pistachios to add crunchy texture, good fats, & extra flavor. We have to utilize unsalted pistachios so they help to control the sodium level.

HONEY:

  • Honey is utilized to add natural sweetness and balance the savory tastes of goat cheese & tangy cranberry flavors. It will also deepen the taste of the wreath.
