INGREDIENTS:

COOKIES:

  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour

  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. ground cinnamon

  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tbsp. whole milk

WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR:

ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR:

  • Add the all-purpose flour to balance the heavy texture of whole wheat flour and offer soft and tender crumbs.

UNSALTED BUTTER:

  • Add the butter to make the soft and indulgent cookies. We have to use soft butter so it is easier for us to cream it.

EGGS:

  4. Include the soft butter & sugar and beat for 2 to 3 minutes so it gets creamy & light.
  5. Now add the eggs, then include the vanilla essence in it.
  6. Now slowly add the dry items to the butter mix and stir to form the soft dough.
  7. Add the 6 tbsp. butter, brown sugar, & cinnamon in the small vessel and mix to combine.
  8. Now make equal portions and sprinkle the flour on the shelf.
  9. Then roll the dough into a rectangle ¼ inch thick.
  10. Now apply a thin and equal layer of cinnamon filling on the dough.
  11. Then roll the dough with care into a log and chill it for ten to fifteen minutes.
  12. Now we make around 24  slices of the log and put them on the tray by leaving some space.
  13. Then bake these cookies for twelve to fifteen minutes till the corners get lightly golden, and the center gets set.
  14. Now cool the cookies on the tray for five minutes, then put them on the rack to cool them completely.
  15. Add the milk and confectioners’ sugar in the vessel and mix with a whisk.
  16. Now add the glaze to the cool cookies, then serve.
