- 1â…“ cups heavy cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. salt
- 20 ladyfingers
- 1 cup blueberries
INGREDIENT NOTES:
BLUEBERRIES:
- We have to utilize the fresh blueberries to include the natural sweetness, juicy texture, and beautiful color in the dish. Use the firm and ripe blueberries for the best flavor. We could utilize the frozen blueberries for the compote if fresh blueberries are not available.
LEMON:
- Add the fresh lemon juice and zest to include the bright citrus flavor in the tiramisu. We have to zest the lemons before juicing them because whole lemons are easier to zest.
MASCARPONE:
- We have to utilize the mascarpone to make the filling rich and creamy, and it also gives a smooth texture to the dish.
HEAVY CREAM:
- Add the heavy cream to make the filling light and fluffy. We have to keep the cream cold until whipping so it gets the best volume.
LADYFINGERS:
- Utilize the ladyfingers to make the soft and cake-like layers in the tiramisu. We have to dip them quickly into the lemon mixture so they absorb the flavor without getting overly soggy.
SUGAR:
- Add the sugar to sweeten the blueberry compote and creamy filling while balancing the tartness of the lemon. We have to divide the sugar as required for the different components.
VANILLA:
- Add the vanilla extract to enhance the fruity and creamy flavors and include a more rounded taste in the tiramisu. We have to utilize the vanilla as directed for the best flavor.
INSTRUCTIONS:
PREPARE THE BLUEBERRY COMPOTE:
- Include the vanilla essence, salt, lemon juice, blueberries, and sugar in the medium saucepan.
- Then cook it on medium setting for five to eight minutes and stir it in between till the blueberries get soft and release the juices.
- Now crush the blueberries lightly with a spoon and leave some of them.
- Put the pan on a shelf and cool the compote completely.
PREPARE THE LEMON MIXTURE & MASCARPONE FILLING:
- Add the lemon zest, sugar, water, and lemon juice to the small vessel.
- Now mix the sugar so it gets dissolved and put it in the corner.
- Add the mascarpone, salt, vanilla essence, lemon zest, & sugar in the big mixing vessel and beat till it gets smooth & creamy.
- Then add the whipped cream to the separate vessel and whip to form the medium stiff peaks.
- Now include the whipped cream in mascarpone mix & stir to make it fluffy.
ASSEMBLE THE TIRAMISU:
- First, we dip the ladyfinger in the lemon mixture and turn it in between so it absorbs the liquid.
- Now cover the bottom layer of the dish with the soaked fingers.
- Then add the mascarpone mixture equally on top.
- Add half the blueberry compote on the creamy layer, and then add half fresh blueberries on top.
- Make all the layers with the same method, and then add the blueberry compote and fresh blueberries on top.
- Wrap the dessert & put in fridge for 4 hours, then serve.
